do you remember, when you were seven ...?
Born the daughter of a florist and a college professor, she is a child of grace and infinite curiosity. Unfortunately for this one, the supernatural had just as much an infinite curiosity in her -- little girls who looked like they'd been in the rain when there hadn't been any for days, strange creatures made of smoke and eyeballs, strange disembodied hands. They led this girl to her -- teacher, mentor, witch, mother. Ever-curious, she began an apprenticeship.

Curiouser still, she learns that fate is a fickle thing. It chooses to play games of hide-and-seek in the hearts of the people around her until it leads her down the least-expected path. Into the claws of a beast called war, into the arms of an enemy she longs only to call "lover". Down the rabbit hole and into a twisted sort of fairytale wrought with deception and bloodshed, and fighting -- praying -- for a happy ending.
